Professor at the School of Environmental Engineering -Heads the Environmental Systems Toxicology Lab

Seoul University)

Jinhee Choi's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying the toxicity of chemicals in the environment, aiming to contribute to the protection of human health and ecosystems. After earning her PhD in ecotoxicology from Orsay (Paris-Sud University), she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Seoul National University Medical School. She is currently a professor at the School of Environmental Engineering (Seoul University), where she heads the Environmental Systems Toxicology Lab. Her current research focuses on developing predictive toxicity models based on computational toxicology approaches. In this context, she is actively involved in developing a platform to predict toxicity and the onset of environmental diseases related to chemical exposure in humans. Her research methodology also relies on the use of various in vitro systems and in vivo model organisms in the fields of human toxicology and ecotoxicology. This approach naturally leads him to study the interspecific extrapolation of toxic mechanisms conserved throughout evolution.
